I have an ever-increasing list of jobs to do on the 944, so that's my focus.

I'm going to remove the drivers seat so that I can fit my 944 S2 leather handbrake. Whilst its out, I need to run the CD changer cable to the boot and finish installing my period Alpine setup.

Then, I'm going to clean up the fusebox contacts and replace all the fuses in the hope it will sort a few gremlins (Such as the heater fan not working intermittantly and the remote boot release activating itself whilst I'm driving along ! )

Mrs W has just reminded me that I'm also preparing the auto for it's front suspension rebuild-by soaking everything in plus-gas and WD40 !

What's everyone else doing??

John what a brilliant thread

I am putting the S on ramps and cleaning the underside of the engine and then re-fitting my nice shiny undertray.

sort out misfire on the turbo, I know its a dodgy connection on one of the leads.

taking off the undertray on the turbo (i think there's a box full of various spares on it  ) ready for a refurb

looked at the aux fuse box in the S today and the bad news is that its melted on fuse 4. I think my clumsy wife twated it with her size 7 boot :dope: and when i switched the rear demister on the other night it fried its wiring and plastic

take the OS side light out and dry all the condensation out. Is there a seal thats shot that i need to replace?

well i think thats enough for this weekend, i bet i don't get it all done

Re the sidelight-take it out and make sure there are no cracks in the lens and that the lens is properly seated and sealed. Probably a good idea to use a bit of silicone when you put the back box back on-should sort it.

I'm hoping to t-cut and polish the Turbo and paint the centres of the Fuchs black then make a list of all the jobs/faults/annoying knocks/rattles/squeeks.... to be fixed later

But if it rains I'll be up around 11am  and spend the rest of the day on Ebay

No car at the minute as Mr Paintman has it for some remedial work.

Need to go through some parts I have back from cleaning. Clean up the spare engine loom, I may remove the brown plastic covers and re cover the wire in some fabric tape for a freshen up. Need to search out for a way of refurbing the fuel injector pipes.

Might have a go at fitting a towbar on the daily hack if the weather is good. Sunday looks best.

Need to start ebaying some surplus 'stuff' and recoup the money thats going to be spent on the engine rebuild.

That's not normal at all, the list is normally increasing, not staying still
