Ace Cafe 8th Annual Season Opener, Saturday 4th March 2017 11am to 4pm

This year including **924 Owners Club AGM** from 1pm for approx 45mins. All club members welcome to attend the AGM.

Yes folks it’s ACE CAFE time again. The first week of March means the winter will have come and gone, so it’s time to think about finishing those minor repairs, fixing those little niggles, buffing up your 924s and heading over to the Ace Cafe for the 2017 season opener. You are guaranteed good company, a great selection of 924s to peruse and some big tasty nosh. As last year I also personally guarantee* that the weather will be fantastic, and I will 100% refund your travel costs and buy you breakfast if there’s even the slightest drop of rain on the day.

Start time
Turn up from 11am, AGM will commence at 1pm for about 45 minutes. Please join in and contribute!

Parking
We have exclusive forecourt parking in front of the Ace Cafe building, until about 4pm. Ace Cafe provides a Parking Marshall on the gate who will direct you to our bit.

924 failing to proceed?
You are very welcome to join us in your non 924, but you will be directed left to the naughty corner of the car park. I’m hoping not to be in that bit again this year!

Non members, new members, etc
Please come along and join us, whether you're in a 924 or not. Say hello, make yourself known, and we’ll make you very welcome. 3 years ago the Ace Cafe was my first 924 Owners Club event and it was a great opportunity to meet lots of forum people in ‘real life’, show off the tatty old 924 I’d recently bought, leak some overflowing coolant across the car park and get some expert opinions on issues I was having, including overflowing coolant.

Food/nosh/grub/nomnoms
The food at the Ace is obviously… ACE. Full English and a proper mug of tea for about £6.50 so you won’t go home hungry.

Getting there
Ace Cafe is on the A406 North Circular, which links the M1 with the M40/A40 so is easily accessible from both Motorways and of course the M25.

Address for SatNav: Ace Corner, North Circular Road, London, NW10 7UD

Maps for those of us who like to do it the old fashioned (and of course better) way:

Ace Cafe 2016 & 2015

2017 will be our 8th year at the Ace Cafe so most of us know what to expect by now! It's a pleasant surprise just how far members are prepared to travel for this event, and over the last few years we have seen a great turn out of 20+ 924s so well worth coming along!

The small print
*I don’t personally guarantee the weather, obviously, so keep your fingers crossed! All claims for food/travel reimbursement will be laughed at heartily and publically named/shamed in the write up for the next issue of the club magazine.

I assume contributions at the AGM would be from full Club members only?

Yes it is full members only at the AGM, they are separating an area off for us.

I've amended the wording to reflect this.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but as this event also includes the AGM, shouldn't it be listed under National Events & not just in the South East Events? Surely you should be attracting & encouraging all Members to attend the AGM, not just those in the South East.

Yes it should be but it is fully available to anyone to view and is listed on events, can't see how anyone could really miss it.

I understand it is listed on the events, but even there it is shown as a South East Region event.

All the BRSCC Porsche Championship races, Warwickshire to Wales Wander, National Rally 2017 - Cadwell Park, The Interesting Car Club Interesting Weekend, Silverstone Classic & The Lancaster Classic Car Show are all shown in events as National but the AGM isn't, it is shown as South East.
