Excellent pics.

Looks like I missed a great day. :boohoo:

That blue car with the GT rear arches and blended rear bumper is interesting. That bumper looks like the type I had and resold a year or so ago.

Anyone know any story?

Really enjoyed this yesterday. It was good to meet some of you fine people in real life and great to see some properly fettled 924s. And my car made the 90 mile round trip there and back with no problems, so well pleased with that.

With 150mile each way trip, I feared my newly found threadbare throttle cable would not last the journey.

Thanks everyone for coming!

Not sure what the official tally was, I counted 22 924s at one point before the AGM kicked off and more arrived after that, plus a couple of 944s, a 911 and a 928, so that's full house for the 80's Porsche line up and I think we can chalk that up as a successful turn out!
I briefly though I was going to be in the naughty corner myself as the car wouldn't start and needed to be jumped but all was good once we got going. Unfortunately my camera also had a flat battery, so these are from my phone:

I spoke to the guy and he said as far as he knew it was a Gemballa factory fit bodykit, it's one piece of fibreglass all the way form the front to the back along the sills. Looked really nice and a bit different, in fact there were a few nice little quirks all along the car which made you see straight away this isn't just a normal car with a CGT kit. unusual wipers, mirrors and spoiler for example.

He said he's had the car for 20 odd years and took it to Silverstone recently and had Porsche GB people crawling all over it because they had no idea what it is. The wheels were his own addition.

Great thread .......... the ACE was always a good day out. Think I was the first to arrive at an AGM in a 928?? Somewhere up north as I recall. Great to see the 'good ol' boys' are still having a good time! .........

Thanks for organising again. A long way for breakfast maybe, but travelling in convoy makes the time fly by (and bamboozles a few fellow motorists as two black 924s nip in and out of traffic). Sorry to miss the AGM - had invited a friend over to eat and he turned up at just the wrong time. Roll on Cadwell.
