Nah, the sk1 was a sampler, the vl1 had a sequencer and simple tone generation.

Ah, yes, turns out we had both but the sk-1 didn't last long.

I thought that seemed incorrect about the VL-1, but I'm not used to be being outnerded regarding Casio! I have one of the most sophisticated home keyboards they made - the MT-400V, with the very rare breath controller, and then also the smallest pro keyboard they made - the CZ-101:

Also, the other famous Casio song:

I recently sold a CZ230S, same sound engine as the 101 but with sequencer and RZ1 drums. Had a CZ1 in the 90s... Awesome.

I've also got a casiotone 1000p, unfortunately the speaker died and every unit I've tried in it doesn't sound very good, it needs a good low range and a sudden cut-off to stop all the clipping sounds coming through.

Shouldn't we move this to the Casio thread? Readers expecting car related content are going to be disappointed. Mods!!!

Broken Key update.

OK then bringing it back to the cars - for those who were there at the NEC or who saw the posts I was the muppet with only one key - that had the gall to snap at 4pm on the Sunday of the show. As a reminder we tried different keys and I ran round show to find a key cutter but to no avail. We ended up going for the high risk strategy of pushing broken key into ignition then following up the the fob end. It worked and we got the car home safely. Now the key issues

1 month later: Many attempts (non destructive) to retrieve the key end (Tweasers, Magnets, watch makers screwdrivers etc) - nothing. Ended up carefully removing complete barrel from steering column and decided to entrust local auto locksmiths (Duplicut in Beggars Bush, Kingstanding) and a few days later I have a retrieved broken key and 3 new keys. Lovely, shouldn't get caught out again

And bringing it back to Casio, I've got a boxed Casio TV410 pocket telly in the loft, can I been in your geek club?
It worked fine but can't pick anything up since digital tv switch over. Shame.

Not my pic, but it's one of these:
