A huge thank you to all who came to the Coventry Transport Museum yesterday, an amazing turn out of well over thirty five members and family. Whatever we do at our end to make these events happen, it would be nothing without you folks making the effort to attend, it's much appreciated. Thanks especially to Ed for his help on the day as he has begun to immerse himself fully into the Events co ordinator role. I'll also be passing our thanks on to the staff at the Midland Air Museum, their kind hospitality and huge enthusiasm added to the experience considerably.

For those who couldn't make it, the following are the winners of the prestigious 924 OC Club awards .
This year really was tough call with so many deserving cars present, it probably took us longer this year than any other to reach a decision. Well done all.

924 (NA) of the Show - Ed Myland; My NA is now sulking because Ed's is more original and has the sought after wire spoke pattern alloys (that's the proper name, you'll know them as spiderwebs) specced up from new along with the rear spats. . Ed set out to get the best NA he could with the intention of turning it into a show standard example, he loves driving it so much (with some verve I might ad) that he's now stressed at the idea of keeping it in cotton wool. As Ed rightly says 'It's only original once' so is torn on upgrading the tiny imperfections or preserving as is.

924 S of the Show - Barrie Evans; A loverly example of an S in Nordic blue with linen upholstery. My favourite colour scheme for an S but we all agreed Barry's car is a stunner that has taken him all over Europe in true GT style.

924 Turbo of the Show - Peter Sears; So refreshing to see a turbo with the unusual two tone GP white over Gabon grey paint, although more of a beige, with stunning berber interior. We tried to look casual examining Pete's car, masking our enthusiasm but as he was standing next to us it was difficult to not give the game away

The Karl Rossin Award for Best Modified 924 - Once again this award is kindly sponsored by The Colonel; This goes to Steve Cooper; The modified category by nature only relates to a small number of cars that proportionally probably represent many times over the amount of labour and expense lavished on 'normal' cars within the club. A very tough one for us to call as the competition was excellent. On balance for us it came down to the fact that this car is in a constant state of development and improvement to an incredibly high standard and best of all, it is nonetheless used regularly and with enthusiasm!

Club member of the year - Richard Brett .
Awarded in absentia and as we couldn't afford the satellite link, Alex has kindly volunteered to delivery Richard's award to him.
This traditionally goes to the club member who has gone that extra mile, and with Richard's prolific contribution to Two Four, organising of SE events and being there for the club with his razor sharp sense of humour ( ), it is very well deserved .

Congratulations all, looking forward to the next event.

Richard is so humble he's still getting his head around the fact that he won the award!
