Gents, build day is Thursday 8th November, Andy and I will be on site and of course the display car drivers as you deliver your vehicles. Could you please let me know (here or marketing@porsche924.co.uk) if you are able to help after dropping your car off, I appreciate some may need to hop on a train after delivery, I just need an idea of available bodies on the day to help position cars etc.

Thank you all for volunteering your time, we're currently scheduling helpers into each day's slot and will publish the list imminently, after which you will be sent your wristband passes by post. Meanwhile; are there any volunteers who do not possess a 924OC polo shirt?, we endeavour to be consistently branded on the stand. I do need to know urgently please. Again, reply here or to marketing@porsche924.co.uk

Thanks all

Arrival time on Thursday is slightly dictated to me by timing for cars entry onto our stand. Being near the the door is great. Last in, first out. I will leave when I can get a suitable train back to Somerset.... usually 2-3 train changes! So not sure when I will depart, before or after the stand set up. Its circa 2.5hrs to NEC for me.

Is there a car wash area on site?? If the roads are dirty it will need a wash down and dry before wiping down in the hall. Last time I had to drive some miles to find a car wash......then it got dirty again before i got to the halls :dope:

Thanks Steve. I've never heard of an on-site car wash but I'll check for closest. I believe the nearest is a hand wash on the A45 towards Cov but as I think you found out, you have to go all the way to Cov to turn round.

Re carwash facilities;

On site at the NEC there are fresh water taps that we are able to use as a basic wash down. No shampoo allowed as the run-off can find its way into the lake and poison the ducks and geese!

As you found out last time Steve, the nearest hand car wash is on the A45 a mile or so from the NEC towards Coventry, unfortunately it's in the eastbound carriageway meaning a 12 mile round trip to Coventry to get back to the NEC. If you don't mind that, 'Bubbles' can give you a quick hand wash at CV7 7JT (no website).

H20 Valetting is next nearest at Touchwood Solihull. You'd need to book and it's expensive http://h20carvaleting.com
