I have a 1984 924 2.0 with gt replica kit it had 4 stud wheels so updated the discs drums etc then decides I wanted 5 stud Fuchs alloys and added 18mm 4 to 5 stud adapters
I already added standard Sachs shockers and front lowering springs by 30 mm
Just asking advise on correct wheel and tyre set up for this
Thanks

If you want real Fuchs you are going to have to get second hand at about £500 a corner, the sizes were popular in VW Beetle circles for their road racer types thus 'cheap' ones have been bought a decade ago. VW forums are a good places to look for what are good Fuchs replicas as it is such a heated debate.

Tyres - there are no matching period correct pattern tyres for front and back on the 16" diameter CGT wheels. I have looked and if there are I would like to know, please.

I would just fit modern symmetric pattern tyres of the correct aspect ratio for looks, handling and ride.

I think Matt may be asking about wheel sizes - width, offest etc.

If so I think it's not so easy to answer. He has a 924 with 18mm spacers and CGT arches

Factors that will make a difference are:
How well were the inner arches modified to accept the CGT arches?
How accurate are the CGT arches?
What is the ride height compared with standard?

Whether Fuchs 16" come in the appropriate width and offset I don't know

The below link will help you work out the dimensions, but you'll need the base-line measurements from the original wheels to work from

I know the person who set up this site

http://924gt.com/specification.html

He will be accurate in his info.

On the question about the wheel arches: front is of course a new wing so the space under has no obstructions, the inner wing is as standard, the rear has the original wheel arches inner and outer in place with the polyurethane wings bolted on top. At least I believe the 'outer' arch is as standard because it hangs down a lot from the bolt line of the arch extension, and doesn't look modified to me. The only way would be to measure from wheel centre. I'll do that this w/e.
