Consider a water pump change too - the belts need to come off to change it - unless you know it's been done in recent years

Also the front seals (cam, crank and both balance shafts) are worth changing while everything is off

A Conti balance belt will whine compared with a Gates due to its very different tooth profile - mine does it and it's never caused a problem

^^^^^

what he said  all depends on the known knowns..as in, how long have you had her?.....otherwise its belt and braces and peace of mind for 4 years or so...for the parts it all depends on where you are, for me in France, Rosepassion are good though understand in the Uk Frazerparts is the go to place. Good luck!

As an aside I have the Conti belt and it is a bit whiney if I'm honest ...if I had the time gain I would have ordered the Gates one instead. The profile is chalk and fromage.......also I would also wait to order the parts until you have fully inspected the area as there is always something else whilst you are in there......

Any piccies?

M
