It’s advertised as a CGT gearbox not a turbo one. There are small differences in the gear sets. The CGT gearbox with ZF plate type LSD should have /12 at the end of the serial number. Like all plate LSD’s they need servicing. Easy to way check if lsd exists is spin one output shaft and the other should spin same direction. An open diff will spin the opposite way.

I’m guessing these ads are Glenn who’s been on here in the past.

I know its a CGT, even though the differences are small. But for that price i would like some solid documentation, otherwise i treat all 2nd hand boxes a base for a rebuild :)

Very true. I’ve fitted boxes that were supposed to be good and found 1st and 2nd synchros to be more than wanting. Glad I didn’t pay top dollar for them. The box in my turbo now came from a very low mileage car and needs new 1st gear dog and synchro. That’s £350 in parts alone plus labour to remove and repair......circa £850 on top of parts.
