I spent a bit of time stripping the car and the week and was surprised to fine that although on top, the car looks an absolute nail, bizarrely underneath, it’s probably the soundest one I’ve ever seen!
Heaven knows what happened to the top half!

1955 Land Rover Series 1 107 pick up
1981 VW T25 camper. ‘The nail’ very slow diesel burner.
1991 Toyota Celica. At £182, too cheap to refuse....

Sills tend to hold up very well if the lower bulkhead doesn't rot away and turn into a water scoop. A bit of care there makes all the difference.

It was the rear end that impressed me the most - absolutely no rust there!

What’s that about sill pegs George? My garage is about to remove mine (924 turbo) to weld my sills. Anything I should know? And sounds like my bulkhead needs looking at!
