did anyone get the chassis number to see where it stands it will gauge whether it pre or post dates the Australian rally car?

My recollection is that (red one) is the P2. Speaking to one of the Piper guys, they had managed to get 12 to the show, largest number in one place for a long time. Unfortunately one had developed an oil leak which took it out of the parade. Some good info here http://thepiperclub.org.uk/

Those Piper guys were very friendly. I felt very ignorant of the marque- can't say I'd ever heard of them :oops: Lovely things though- looked and sounded great. Another for the fantasy garage.

What a brilliant day, Sue and I enjoyed it immensely and I'd like to say a huge thank you to Ian for organising this event for the club. Everything was seamlessly smooth with a great club pitch organised for us (nice and close to the bacon roll van!) , I'd be looking to go for at least two days next year.

+1 for all three days. Friday is great for wandering around as there are far lees people there. Saturday & Sunday for watching the racing.

A belated thanks from us too. My Dad had a fantastic day, although it's taken him until today to recover! He's not quite forgiven me for waking him from his nap before the parade lap! :lol:

I'll be making certain I keep the dates free for all three next year!
