Had a great day yesterday, but I had really weird, vivid and slightly unplesant dreams last night. I assume it was either the curry or the GTS petrol fumes.

Just got back. Fantastic weekend that really highlights what an amazing club this is. A brilliant stand display, well done to Phil and all those involved. A big thanks to everyone who entrusted their cars to us for the weekend.

Thanks to everyone who helped out on the stand. Our enthusiasm recruited lots of new members and converted many non-believers!

And a few more photos.

Hopefully we'll hear from the new members soon. Many cars unknown to us before and a 1980 Le Mans restoration among them.

Thanks to everyone involved in the organisation - looking around the other stands ours was head and shoulders above any amateur club. We were rivalling some of the factory stands! Just need a marquee or artic...

Funny you should mention that...

We were thinking of getting an LT van and selling club t shirts at vastly inflated prices.

What, the one with the 924 engine? I only had to defend this myth twice, and on my wander around the show, I went to chat with the DKW guys as they had a sign that firmly explained "This is not an Audi" ! I asked them what they knew about our myth, which they recognised as a Mercedes engine that DKW inherited, that got merged into the VW sector.

We had so many new recruits we almost ran out of paper to write them down! I thoroughly enjoyed being a friendly nerd for the day. Our stand looked bright, welcoming and slick, and was very well placed. The end of the show was possibly one of the most toxic rooms I have stood in, but equally impressive watching all the cars leave.
