Hello (again?*)
I am about to get the band - ie my CGT - on the road again.
After 3 years parked up in the garage I am getting the CGT fixed and on the road for the coming summer.
Currently at Retro Restorer having the stuff my old and creaky body can't get to and then some cosmetics - recover seats, fit period radio and back to re-discovering '80s turbo lag!

I'll try and bring it to some meet ups if I get invited.

Hello all!!

* I might have been a member before - but just created this account

Wot! Not even a clue towards the colour and appearance? Nige understands how things work here.

The car is now running wonderfully after Retro Restorers did the body work and Zuffenhaus at Wythall sorted out the engine.
Blaupunkt Paris CR fitted, it was a dealer fit in Portugal. The common dealer fit in UK was some garish Panasonic CQR(??) which are as far as I can tell impossible to get hold of.

Its Indische Rot (red) and the colour pings after a young detail fell in love with it and spent ages on it. Old solvent based paint so it came up well, I guess.

Paint still chipped and odd scratch as it has always been since we ran it to Spain a couple of times and bashed through the mountains.

I've attached 2 files. If that doesn't work I get some photo hosting going

Not far from Zuffenhaus, he is between south Brum & Redditch, I'm south Brum.
Jeff is a knowledgeable bloke - he has managed to fix my K-Jetronic better than any K-J I have ever driven and I'm old enough to have driven Mk1 Golfs as new and even the VW garages didn't do such a good job.
