Hi everyone! I have just purchased a fantastic Porsche 924s in gambia Red. It is the 1986 automatic with the 2.5 litre engine. Have only taken the car out once and am already in love with it. The styling and the sheer brilliance of the drive are just awesome, especially since its 34 years old. I will be keeping it in pristine condition and will appreciate any advice fellow owners and specialists can give me. I do also want to take her to some classic car meets.

Welcome, pictures are a must! Unfortunately car shows are mostly cancelled due to Covid.

There's a few pictures of her as requested. I think it looks epic!

I recall seeing this for sale on ebay, nice colour, not a fan of the wheels though, but every one to their own. If there is no history of belts being changed, this is something to consider asap on this engine.

It had the belts done last year, full respray in the original colour, I will have to take a picture of the engine bay as its fantastic! Only thing I am wondering is when I had the Mrs in it, it did sound like the back left corner was scrapping on something when turning right. Could be that the car was a bit heavier but I'm just wondering if anybody else has had something similar?

As for the wheels, what I think has happened is the person who sold it to the previous owner was restoring a load of porsches. I think he took the original wheels and put boxter wheels on it.I am going to buy original wheels for it.

Probably not a lot of clearance with those wheels, check the LH rear tyre isn't rubbing somewhere.
