What does this mean? Have you modified the front wheels?

I love the wheel setup on this.

The wheel centre on this 928(?) version of the tele pokes out slightly more than compared to the other tele versions, more especially a 924S version.

That's right, this setup uses the two road going extremes of the phone dial family.
The highest offset 7" wheel is the 928 version with the center actually poking outside of the lip which for me is an amazing design.
Then the lowest offset 7" wheel is the early 944 turbo front wheel with a generous dish...but like I said, I bought the 8" wheels off the early 944 turbo with the absolute biggest dish(visually bigger than the 7" wheel now on the car) of any road going phone dial wheel.

note: This setup requires special made spacers, long hub lugs all around as well as camber settings nearing the limit of the factory tolerance and specific tire size so that the looks are achieved and the suspension still works properly and does not catch the tires in the car body while still keeping a decent level of confort.

Taking it to a retro track event, had the city center stroll thing today, a couple of laps on the local track tomorrow, going to take it easy and pose for nice pictures :)
Now with 8" phone dials on the back for the most amount of difference between front and rear phone dials one can get.

8x16 ET23 is spot on. Great set up. Just wish I could afford the Same spec Fuchs for mine.

The car is a bit ratty, I never made a topic for showing it off but now i am.
I have grown to love this car and appreciate the patina and marks it has as well as its looks.

The car has quite a history, it was bought in Frankfurt but in the 90's it was exported to UK where it ended up in a fender bender and then abandoned. Paul (Woolie) picked it up and replaced the damaged panels as well as fixing a few problems it had like the clutch disk. I picked the car up from Paul in 2014, mind you i live in Romania, like 1500 miles away and i hired a platform to get this car delivered from UK to RO.
SInce then i've done a few things to get it to my liking, no rattles as a first, drives and tracks like a sports car should, some nice wheels and tires, fresh turbo now because of a silly mistake i made (read that in the next club magazine issue)

The weather has turned for the awesome here and this weekend i took the 931 out for the first time this year. It now rolls on staggered 16" phone dials, 7x16" ET65 fronts with the mid part out and 7x16" ET23 rears for a deep dish...but i recently, thanks to a generous buddy, bought a pair of 8x16" ET23 that i'm going to use for maximum dish at the rear.
Its still rough and ratty and i like it the way it is :)

The new hybrid turbo in it sounds sick and pulls 200rpms sooner, so its out of vaccum at 1800RPM
Makes and keeps 0.69bar and pulls strong from just over 3000rpm and keeps on past 6000rpm. Not too fast, just right for the street but still plenty fast, its up to 100mph in a blink of an eye.

That looks ace! I remember standing next to this car while I was at Paul's house back in 2014 - just before it was shipped. The rear Tele's look so much better on that than they do on any 944 Turbo!
