Steve is right of course with a car already so tidy, except won't it be rather more than a weekend if parts have to be ordered? You can't tell if the motor is fixable until it's out!

Used early heater boxes are not easy to come by. I'm suggesting a proper repair than cutting it open to maintain originality. Also internally the foam seals will have destroyed themselves. Having it opened will be best to replace the foam and check the motor.

Best to pick a few days when the turbo isn't needed. There is always the 911, 928 and BMW to drive........

Thanks Gents

Going to park this job for the winter when funds have recovered and may see about sticking in one of the new werk924 dashboards while I’m at it.

The dash on mine is really pretty good but would just future proof it and doubt this is a job to be done twice !

Picked up the new pipework from OPC this afternoon at the discounted price of £766, which is on top of the £320 fuel tank cradle, £1222 engine and gearbox service and £216 flex plate bracket.

Going to be around £3.5k by the time I’m done.

Please think twice about buying a 928, this hasn’t been a one off !

Have already spoke with the local mechanic about this job and taking the lot down at the end of the week for fitting.

Saw the new 911 in the metal for the first time and it really is quite pretty.

Stupidly the salesman think parking them in the showroom with the spoilers up make them look cool! Its like walking around in loose shorts with a semi :dope:

Still got my new dash to fit, but it's finding the time :violin:

Had another poster arrive yesterday so now pinned up along with the other two and coming along nicely.

Just going to try and fill the wall space with whatever rubbish i like the look of.

Did think of painting the walls first but think it will look better as it is once there loads of stuff pinned up.
