If you enlarge the picture you will see where we have taken the inspection covers off. That allows access to big ends and mains, along with the bottom of the liners, we could see that rain water has got into a couple of the cylinders, another winter and the engines would have been beyond economic value to repair.
Rocker have lids, the fuel pumps have covers and you can also inspect the cam lobes, loads of 3/8 BSF nuts to remove though, 8x10 for the crank doors and 8x8 for the cam inspection covers
