Sunday 8/10/18
when I bought the car the previous owner had stripped the interior out with the view to overhauling it.
I have managed to get it back up and running and through an MOT.

a couple more pictures of the car.
I have amassed 1000 very enjoyable miles in this car, just got to iron out a slight misfire under load, ordered some new leads dizzy cap and rotor arm hope this will resolve the problem

Bought a few goodies for the car, rocker switch for rear wiper, new wiper stalk (yes I know it's brown new only in this colour) and a new air filter box bracket. Old and new will replace rusty nuts and washers later

got the intermittent wipers to work today! Replaced the incorrect relay :dope: Some previous owner had used.
As an aside, 477.955.531.A is the original relay which seams to be nla and looking on the internet an option is 111 955 531. has anyone used the latter type?

I doubt it's a latter type, the 477 part was probably a customised version of the original VAG part with some extra sort of functionality. No idea what, though!

KAE 3208100 is a direct replacement and should be about £25-£30 but as hardly anyone stocks them it will be more.
