I think that fact sheet was from when we had the 35 year celebration at Silverstone. It’s a good idea. I should create a template for people to use in the future.

As an aside, did you buy the mats for your car? If so, where did they come from? I’ve been trying to source a decent supplier of textured mats for ages.

Good idea and the local porsche club done something similar which we still use.

Regarding the mats !

I did try OPC on the optimistic chance they still had a set but no joy.

I then purchased the still available 968/944 OEM set which would have been too late really for a 1980 car but do look good. Anyway not sure if it’s just due to my car having (not yet working) air con but the passenger mat didn’t fit well. The driver side and rear were spot on. Returned these in the end as just not right.

Then it was down to a lucky find on eBay although I have seen a couple of wanted adds on here come up trumps. The passenger side still isn’t right due to the air con but better than the still available OEM 968/944 set which makes me think the the passenger footwell in the 968/944 might be a slightly different shape to the 924.

Good luck and loaded up a closeup of what I believe to be the original mats for the 924. Certainly the same style and material as in the 1984 911 which I know are definitely original.

I did make a bit of a beeline for the 993 when I clocked it at the regional a couple of months back.

Really is a great colour.
