Another little part for the boxster.

Only £9 from OPC

Old one had a little chip out of it.

Looks like its better designed than the 924's which appeared to be a last minute grab from the meccano set.

Latest club magazine arrived this morning on the way to the new station for coffee and cake.

They really have done a great job.

So excited :panic:

Managed to track down the prior owner of Monaco Blue from a single name Mark gave me well over a year ago via the POC in Ireland and then the Irish porsche owners club forum but the chap never managed to get back to me with the garage he bought it from. Even with me going a bit stalker and prompting him every 3 months or so for the last year !

Anyway tried again tonight and boom !

This is the reply from the owner of the garage who sold the car to Tom (the owner before Mark)

I was asked if I wanted to look at a 924 Turbo that was for sale , I’ll be honest and say it wasn’t a high priority car to me at the time ( I should have kept it with hindsight ) I was basically pestered to buy it so I reluctantly went to view it in a garage next to a guys house in Gloucester, it was late July 2009 as I was flying to Finland the day after for Rally Finland so I remember it well.
We got there early on a sat morning and as the guy opened his garage door I just thought ‘SOLD’ , I can’t remember the year of it but he had owned it from when it was around 2 or 3 years old so well over 20 years, it was in totally original condition had t been used for over ten years and was sat in his garage , the only issues being minor dents in it where kids bikes etc had been lent against it etc over the years, I paid £1500 for it, bought it back to the workshops and went to Finland , I didn’t really know why I bought it but it was so good it had to be bought...
I was really busy in workshop ( I had bought another series 2 for £500 as well) and usy never got time to look at them , so with space in the workshop I put them both on EBay and the blue one sold ( can’t remember price but I made a profit) and it was collect d on a trailer and taken to Ireland . The new owner then sent me a few pics of work he had done and got it all running.
I’m pretty sure when I got it there had only been 2 owners and I was the third , I did hear he had sold it and I think bought a TVR but until your message I haven’t heard about the car since

So the search continues !

Nice response.

I was lucky enough to get all the old V5's from DVLA before they stopped this service. I have all the service info from its owner from 1990 to 2007 and the following owner from 2007 to 2009 when I bought it. Its nice to know its ownership from 1980 to 1990 in once sense. The negative was no on kept it more that a few months to a year. So 7-8 owners in its first 10yrs!! My guess was its lack of turbo reliability and high servicing costs got tiresome for many?

Local garage turning into a bit of a specialist!

928 sailed through its MOT.

Ordered up the replacement for this today via the local auto electrical centre.

Have started getting some high readings on the voltmeter on start up now and again and been advised via the folks on the turbo page to try this first.

Did take it off and clean it but no joy.
