So the '79 has 5 stud wheels and brakes? Did you do the conversion?

Great to see the turbo in some honest photos. Ciprian is so good at perfect lighting and artistic photos it always made the car look amazing!

I make the conversion to 5 stud wheels to my old Porsche 924 in order to have ventilated discs all around - and more options on wheels. It was the only upgrade - the rest of the car is as original as possible.
Regarding Ciprian's car: Ciprian sent me a lot of very honest pictures with vehicle defects.
I also understand why he sees the car like this.
To make a long story short - I knew the condition of the car before I bought it.

On the other hand, the Dutch from whom I bought the aspired 924 was as dishonest as possible. After 20 minutes the water has 110 degrees. I stop to the first service available. Many things that were supposed to go did not work. On that occasion the honest presentation of the car left much to be desired.

Definitely a good upgrade for wheel options and the best brakes, although the standard brakes are also fine for such a light car.

I didn't mean that Ciprian was being dishonest! Oops, what hole have I dug for myself here? It's just easier to see the car's patina when it's not bathed in a beautiful sunset!

I'm lucky I had a dog gearbox on 924 natural aspirated (1979) and I'm somewhat accustomed with it.
If you use 99% of the time a normal gearbox, it is not comfortable to drive dog leg after that a short period.

If I am totally honest, I am still finding the dog leg a little awkward to use (my 924 is my first experience of this). On the go its great but its the slow around town junction navigation stuff that isn't that pleasant given how impatient everyone else is these days. Hopefully i just need to get used to it.

Welcome, by the way

pansy... Mine is straight in every time, never found it an issue.
