Congratulations !
Very happy to how this car ended up being used.
Woolie saved it from the scrap yard and got it driving, i continued by making it a reliable car and making more stuff work on it.
Silviu (Motanul) picked up then and made the car not only more reliable but also rust free, leak free and very good looking.

Happy ending for this 924.

we all love happy endings

Did anyone find out if the Abbot Racing sticker on the back of this car meant anything? I remember the Ebay seller calling it out as potential performance enhancement. It hung around for sale for quite some time before Paul bought it. So glad it didn't get broken now seeing it being properly used in Central Europe. Great story.

From the information I have the car is OEM with 2 exceptions:
- the ventilation system of the engine is turbo 2 (but I understand that many 924 owners make this upgrade - so nothing special).
- lower and stiff coil spring in front suspension (I removed them last year).

The engine seems to produce 150-160 HP (nothing special).

In conclusion the sticker didn't meant something.

It was mainly a FIA Historic Regularity Rally. (in theory  )

Many when they saw a high-speed circuit and transponders mounted on each car they had other ideas

A lot of time was spent on the circuit (it was time for regularity as well for track day).
The participants entered the circuit 3 times each day (circuit recognition, qualifications, race).

Some of the participants went to the best time - others for regularity. At the end of the event (2 days) everyone was pleased.

For best time saturday a porsche 944 took the best time, Sunday it was me
