Black 924 Automatic 1983 restoration project.

This project is progressing in the right direction hopefully to be completed in the next few months. The story behind this car is that it was registered and bought in 1983 and completed 8900 miles and before its first Mot was due it was put in a garage and basically used as a shelf for gardening tools.

DVLA.GOV.UK pretty much backs up that this is true as it shows that it still some 36 years later still has not had its first MOT.

I doubt that another such vehicle exists anywhere going 36 years without MOT and still existing. This makes this car very unique.

The downside is that it has been sat in oil/water/antifreeze and brake and clutch fluids for so long that it has caused a great deal of problems with erosion throughout hence a full strip down and rebuild.

Lovely reference car for how they would have been.

I still think autos are underrated.
