Some of you know I was on the search for either another Porsche 924 or a Clan Crusader, but in my heart of hearts I didn’t really think I’d find a decent example of the latter so I didn’t expect to be posting this. One of the reasons I wanted another 924 was because I really enjoy being part of this club, so Ed Myland has assured me that - in order to continue to partake in club activities - my Clan Crusader will be welcome here. There are similarities between the two cars that (at least in my head) made them both a car I’ve been fascinated by since being a young petrolhead. But as most of those are poetic at best, I’ll keep them to myself and show you the car. It’s a ‘71, with the right oily bits and enough character to charm a brick. Also, it’s brown. ![]() Attachment: Attachment: Attachment: Attachment:

You would never think it was designed by ex Lotus employees, styling is not it's strong point ![]() |

I love this thing Paul. That engine is still an absolute gem and unlike my Imp, it's not going to turn to dust before your very eyes. |

I’m new to Imp stuff - but so far so good. I’ve always liked the mini GT styling of the Crusader. Thanks for not kicking me out for lack of 924’ness. ![]() |

My first reaction was that is hideous, and its brown. ![]() But its growing on me, unusual looking car, I can see the attraction. I don't think I have seen one before. |
