Hopefully by tomorrow morning, the red NA will be back on the road and MOT’d, which is great as it’s another back on the road!
I was going to take this car to Wales next month but, being sensible, I’m now never going to get what I wanted to do to it done in time so, it’s looling like the S will be getting dusted off and head off instead. In light of that, it’s not of use to me and is for sale.

Although MOT’d, I would still consider this to be a project car, the headlights aren’t popping up (in all my years and many 924’s I’ve had, this is the first that I’ve ever had an issue with!) and it’s a bit of an unknown but, it would be a good car for someone to start off with a running project?

It’s cost me just shy of £1600 to get this point - I’m not that excited about making a profit, I just want someone to continue the job - so, if anyone knows someone who’s looking for a starter 924, maybe this could be of interest to them?

I don’t want to go down the eBay route as I get frustrated with the fact that quite clearly, so many people have proved Darwin wrong.

Obviously, my location with out most people off but, I’m happy to collect from the railway station/Newquay airport. Breakdown recovery is a must!
I’ll get some better pictures over the next couple of days.

Nothing club related, just me and 4 dysfunctional mates in an eclectic selection of crappy cars!

I officially hate this car!
The garage took the car across to be MOT’d yesterday morning and it ran out of fuel en route -my fault, the garage did tell me it needed fuel but, I forgot!
They put some more fuel in and it wouldn’t start :dope:
It’s now been recovered back to the garage to see what the issue is? I’m thinking crap dragged through the fuel system?

Yes there is a good chance that that will be the problem; happened to one of my cars. The internal filter on mine had perished and all the bits were in the bottom of the tank which got sucked up into the fuel system when it ran out of fuel Was not that hard a fix (for mine) but was a pain nether the less. I feel for you. Hope the fix is an easy one!

Regards

If it ran out of fuel the pump is stuck and possible dead as it overheated.
The external pump relies on fuel to cool down.
If there is no fuel, the pump will overheat and jam.
Sometimes it can be re-started with a few light hits with a hammer but sometimes the pumps just melt inside and need replacing.

Lee’s ran out of fuel on the way back from mot last week. Took a new set of spark plugs to get it going again...
