Hello folks,
The Festival of Porsche, Brands Hatch is less than a month away and promises to be a fab day out. The last one was in 2014 and it was brilliant. It attracted 10,000 visitors so it a massive event and not to be missed. Gates open at 9.00am so it’s going to be a a full day of activities. There will be racing, static displays, Le Mans, classic and modern Porsches doing display laps on track, passenger rides, a parade lap, and hundreds and hundreds of Porsches parked all about Brands Hatch racing circuit.

On top of all that there will be a 924 only set of races, one 15 minute qualifying and 2x 15 minute races all happening during the event. My sources close to the 924 racing drivers has suggested that 12 x 924 racers have provisionally said they are attending, hopefully with more to be added.

Event details here:
https://brandshatch.msv.com/BH-18-Porsche

The event is run by PCGB, and tickets are £25 in advance, £30 on the day.

There is currently a PCGB member admission rate of £15 and I am trying to negotiate a discount for 924 Owners Club members who arrive in their 924. Hopefully news on that very soon.
Here's the link to PGCB discounted tickets at £15 for those of you who are also PCGB members:

https://www.porscheclubgb.com/shop/tickets/all-tickets/brands-hatch-festival-of-porsche

I'll definitely be going to this. If anyone wants to meet up before and convoy in together I'd be up for that.

The timetable for the day has been posted, link below. Gates open at 9am, and there's qualifying/practice/races and demos on track from 10am through to about 6.30pm

https://msvstatic.com/documents/Timetable.pdf

I'm aiming to get there early. I'll hatch a plan and post details here this week but it will probably involve meeting at a lay-by close to the entrance at about 8.45am. If the next couple of day of painting my front bumper, valance, badge panel and drivers wing go well I'll be there in the 924, otherwise I'll be in the sensible other car.

Unfortunately I've not had a reply from the PCGB events people about a discount for 924OC members so it looks like it will be £25 in advance/£30 on the door. The advance ticket offer runs out in 2 days time BTW.

I've booked my ticket... Who else is coming?

To be fair, entrance is £15 for PCGB members, they were unlikely to offer the same rate to us? (these savings are an incentive to join)
I shall be there in the 996

Great, hope to see you there!

Re:admission, I was working on the basis that they offered the discount to us last time (I think the reduced entry was for anyone who turned up in a Porsche) so thought it was worth asking.
£25 is still good value for a fab day of Porsche racing and track side treats. Looking forward to it!

Certainly worth asking! I've just re-joined PCGB (after a break of about 16 years) and whilst it's not cheap I'll be getting two certificates of production (£65. each to non members), already saved £20 on two tickets to Brands , 5% on what I've bought from Design911, valuations on both cars and Porsche Post has improved significantly and is now more like a proper magazine so it's not been bad value imo.
