It was a great weekend!

Our stand had a good amount of attention all round I think. My car certainly does draw people in but I think that's just simply because with the bonnet open and a prominent board with text and photos natural curiosity attracts people to 'just have a nosey!'

I think as a club we would be wise to exploit that intrigue with wider use off the display boards. Phil did and exceptional job of my display a few years ago now and I've never looked back!!

I'll say it again, a club investment in some folded steel display boards to accompany the flags would be a wise investment for shows like this and the NEC. Often people are too shy to ask about cars, but will read with interest when the info is presented for them. It also explains the fundementals, so any further discussion can be about more detailed aspects.

Good idea on both counts and each has its pros and cons.

The con of the boot is most people look at the front of the car, rather than the boot I'm guessing.

Those floor ones look smart and agree less risk of a problem but you old guys might be struggling to see them all the way down there on the floor!!


Personally I still vote for the type seen before at Porsche which go under the front wheel and are eye level - they are much smaller though and that's a major draw-back! Maybe you're right Phil!

Went Sunday approx 10:20 am.

Nowhere to park, did two circuits of the car park noting even transporters for the show were in with the general shoppers.
