Nice  the Rothmans looked great with the matching leathers on the seat!
Johns supercharged attracted many admirers. I became the supercharged ambassador for a part of the day. When people marvelled at the 'factory ' quality of the installation I enjoyed the killer punchline ; " of course...he's a surgeon"

It was a great weekend!

Our stand had a good amount of attention all round I think. My car certainly does draw people in but I think that's just simply because with the bonnet open and a prominent board with text and photos natural curiosity attracts people to 'just have a nosey!'

I think as a club we would be wise to exploit that intrigue with wider use off the display boards. Phil did and exceptional job of my display a few years ago now and I've never looked back!!

I'll say it again, a club investment in some folded steel display boards to accompany the flags would be a wise investment for shows like this and the NEC. Often people are too shy to ask about cars, but will read with interest when the info is presented for them. It also explains the fundementals, so any further discussion can be about more detailed aspects.

You're right there John,

People do like to know a bit more about cars without having to ask... I did have an "A" board with loads of info at my first event at Tatton on but it was a bit cumbersome... I do like the "in boot" layout as it means the display wont get wet at outdoor events like Tatton
