I am the proud owner of S1 931 Diamond Silver over Minerva Blue. (you may recognize it)

I own a Porsche 924 2.0 normally aspirated.

The car went well with the first road (Arad-Bucharest) 600 km.

It's a love and hate relationship. It's very demanding but also rewarding.
It needs your attention 100%.

I'm lucky I had a dog gearbox on 924 natural aspirated (1979) and I'm somewhat accustomed with it.
If you use 99% of the time a normal gearbox, it is not comfortable to drive dog leg after that a short period.

Some images of the old Porsche 924 / 1979 / 2.0 natural aspirated.

Welcome to the forum, you should join the club as well.
Best of luck with the car and enjoy it!
600Km is a piece of cake for it, it did 5000 right next to the GTS wannabe in 2016.

Great to see the car here! Whats your plan with it?

Nice NA btw, seems to have been used for a lot of fun, are there any good tracks over there for track days?

The plan is to keep it original but to work and look closer to the year of manufacture. (repaint keeping the original colors, repairing everything that does not work right now, etc.)
Similar to what I did with Porsche 924 natural aspirated (almost faultless now). A lot of parts have been replaced / repaired over the past five years.

There are 3 tracks around Bucharest. One for speed, 2 for handeling especialy. One has portions of macadam and portions of asphalt. It also has a separate offroad route. They are used as track days or regularity races throughout the year.

I also participated at regularity rally (time-speed-distance or TSD rally). There are many beautiful roads in Romania.

In other words, I do not just keep the car in the garage for storage. Some pics from April 2018.

So the '79 has 5 stud wheels and brakes? Did you do the conversion?

Great to see the turbo in some honest photos. Ciprian is so good at perfect lighting and artistic photos it always made the car look amazing!

What do you mean by that? I just sold the car, I'm not dead you know?
That's how I saw and see the car :) And those are the moments I chose to remember, not a random parking lot shots.

Sorry I hope that came across as a compliment to both of you.

If I am totally honest, I am still finding the dog leg a little awkward to use (my 924 is my first experience of this). On the go its great but its the slow around town junction navigation stuff that isn't that pleasant given how impatient everyone else is these days. Hopefully i just need to get used to it.

Welcome, by the way
