Attempted a timing belt and water pump change on the 85 NA but failed due to a stubborn bolt.

Not really necessary, most drive their cars to the event.

Correct. Most of the cars in the class drive to and from the events. That said, I’ve spent today looking at VW T25/3 camper vans. Can’t afford one. But I want one. A specific one. May have to modify one!

Correct.....I did look at this last year but could not make it fit my company car budget. But I’m looking at something more period correct....still the personal budget isn’t working out right now.

I like the look of this.....just needs a pop top like the white one for a double bed up top

Not 924 related, but we spent the morning working on the MGB.

We started the day with the car on axle stands and the engine on an engine crane. Now a new clutch has been fitted, the engine is back in the car and bolted in, a new starter motor fitted and the car is back on its wire wheels for the first time in a very long time. An excellent morning's work by my son, Glen, with me playing the usual idiot role of dropping bolts and tools

Just been watching Lombard Rally heading through Cheddar Gorge. Would’ve been great without punter drivers getting in the way of the rally cars

Installing this back on to the car. Bit of external polishing and cleaning while also smoothing out some internal casting marks whilst it was off. Plenty of work hardly anyone will ever see!!

Hoping to sort out the stop lights and signaling lights to have them fully functional and a bit of interior trim re-fitting to get it presentable for the MOT next week.
