Like aviation? Like WW2 history? Love driving your 924 on pretty, twisty, quiet roads? This is the event for you!
Lincolnshire is dotted with RAF bases. From abandoned relics to active stations the county is full of aviation history. Bomber County Run was Ed's first ever event and has grown from strength to strength each year.
Starting just outside the county and very close to the A1 the tour this year will be more confined to cars than it has been in the past, due to the COVID restrictions.
That shouldn’t detract from an amazing day though. We have lined up the International Bomber Command Centre to visit and several interesting stop offs on the route but, most importantly, we have Lincolnshire. What does that mean? Well the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds are one of the country's best-kept secrets. Lovely driving roads and often surprisingly empty…
As always, there will be a lot of poignant history to discover along the way. With a little luck the BBMF and Red Arrows will be back up and running by then. If they are, there is a very good chance we’ll be able to give them a wave!

We'll start near at a Colsterworh services just off the A1 not far from Stamford. Not the highlight of the day but they have a large carpark.
We'll then go out via Bourne and the old BRM F1 factory and up through the fenland area of the county to then hit a stopping point I am sworn not to reveal.
We'll lunch and enjoy a
special treat there.
Then off to the IBCC and get a museum tour (I must pre-book this). Then back for a final loop around the abandoned bases with a possibility of BBMF and or Woodhall Spa airfield included.
It will be different to usual as I've got to limit our stops. Also the museums are needing pre-booked slots.
It will be worth it though. I promise...
