The Porsche 924 is a compact, rear-wheel-drive sports car that features a front-mounted, water-cooled engine. Notably, its gearbox is positioned at the rear in a transaxle arrangement, resulting in a near-perfect 52:48 weight distribution. In its naturally aspirated form, the engine delivers an impressive 125hp, surpassing the contemporary Ford Escort RS 2000’s output of 110hp. Additionally, the 924 GTP, a racing variant, generated a remarkable 344hp and 412 Nm of torque, all while utilizing the same Audi parts found in the naturally aspirated version.
